Our story
My Story Back in 1995 I was a little jersey and use to go on the road with my father (at the time WWF World Wrestling Federation Manager) and would sit and watch the sound guy setup there at the time current PA System, I would be home schooled and on the road 28 days out of the month sometimes, I grew up in the business learning how to setup speakers, lighting and trussing, then when I heard the 1990's club style music I just knew I wanted to be someone who played music and brought people together! Music is a special type of tool to heal, to embrace and inspire. My first official Job was in 1996 and grabbing music (cds) from the "professional wrestlers" and playing there entrance music each time then in 2000's I started to play music live before the shows to help entertain the crowds, By 2003 I knew I wanted to start pushing a business and I started playing in small outside venues, local boros, VFW's, yatch clubs, bingo halls where ever I got booked I played I once then got hooked up with a DJ Called DJ Crabs out of North East Philadelphia where he brought me down to his area and I was taught how to Spin, mix and scratch professionally (you can say I was the only white boy who actually loved the hood because I knew I was always protected)! Once I "graduated to a somebody I was taught by him how to do professional weddings and sweet 16's. There is so much to learn in this industry and it isnt just about playing music there are different ethnic traditions when playing! Fast forward 2005 I started to learn the night life in my area! I and started booking weekly contracts with local clubs and bars I would enjoy playing my type of music I would meet so many other djs from time to time and make great friends, however I did learn in this business it is "cut throat"
The years continued until 2007 where I was contacted by a producer from MTV Networks got a hold of me after reading my resume from places online where I would work as a DJ and a professional wrestler 611 Productions was able to get me a opportunity where I had to send so much to NYC and I was told that there was about 5 others who would be casted for the job of playing music during filming, there were certain rules during film for TV, it took about 4 weeks and I got a call and was told to head to NYC and by July of 2009 I was getting professional pictures taken for promos and being told where to go, as well as a agent. I would go to play DJ Jersey live on season 1 & 3 at Club Karma & Bamboo where I would be setup playing professionally for all the younger crowds while they excepted the cast to and filmed in real time. After 2012 I started touring around the country as the Network was able to get me some work, once my contract ran out I went back home and started my full blown dj business hiring djs and doing about 200 weddings a year with always spinning on the weekends! I did join the US. Army from 2014-2018 where I came back from Iraq and wanted to get back into DJing full time. This journey has been a blessing and I have brought families together over my years and shared special moments with people who would never think they would have. 2018 I would go to the DJ Expo and get lucky that most of the higher ups of ADJ, Chavuet, Brian S. Redd and others were wrestling fans and I was able to meet and network and (actually become great friends with a lot of company's such as pioneer, Wedding Wire, Odyssey cases, and much more! (edited)
Fast forward to 2021 I have been dealing with some major issues personally and I needed to focus my mind during the week on music again and hence welcomes DJ Jersey on Second Life, I am more looking for friends that are djs that I can either get along with or help guide/ give advice along the way (because there wasn't that much advice given while I had to just learn hands on). I am looking stay busy on certain days while I continue to bring 2022 to a close at the Jersey Shore or in my other state of PA! (edited)
I did want to add this on since I continue to re edit things and add things that were pretty big inspiring things in my life that makes me who I am today, My father started out in the late 1970s in music and started a "polka band" which at the time in my area of North Eastern, PA (New England area) Polka Music was popular and became the all time normal in the 80s, He was a drummer and also taught me how to play along with my Middle school band director, He produced 2 albums and the second album went triple platinum and in 1985 he was a Grammy Award Nominee (The Brass Release Album Brass with Class). Most of the Polka families and artists that are still around today call him and his band "Polka Royalty" because Polka music when it came America wasn't that big until it went national for the first time in the Grammy award category! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7LfeM5YqHzE (Triple Plate Album) (edited)
